Our Origin Story

As a 2nd generation member of her family's pistachio farming business, Alex grew up surrounded by pistachios. These nutritious nuts were her favorite golf course snack through her collegiate career, providing antioxidants, salt, and protein to sustain her during tournaments.

In 2018, Alex began experimenting with pistachio desserts, from meringues to cookies and cheesecakes, and found them to be a perfect addition to various dishes like soups, pasta sauces, and charcuterie boards. While pursuing her MBA at UC Berkeley, she envisioned a way to continue her family's legacy and share her passion for this premium nut.

As she delved deeper into pistachios, Alex discovered they require less water to grow than other nuts – an important discovery given California’s recent drought challenges. She also was taken aback by the numerous additives and unpronounceable ingredients in the pistachio products she consumed.
